I went walkabout sporting my new" Rubbish bag "which had been used on the new series of the T.V. Prog Ugly Betty and received many comments and compliments on the bright yellow eye catching shoulder bag which is ideal for holidays.
The Rubbish Bags are handmade in The Philippines from recycled sweet wrappers and are Fairly Traded. They are tough and strong and make very bold fashion statements because of their unique characteristics".
Betty has clearly identified the latest fashion trend and it`s great that she is also supporting both Fair Trade and recycled products".

I must admit I was turned off mexican food some years ago when I tried chicken in a chocolate sauce in America, I realise this is a signature mexican dish but it didn't appeal to me at all.
However the Fajitas that I gingerly tried at Chiquito were absolutely delicious. The whole presentation was excellent. The sizzling dish contained strips of chicken cooked with peppers and onions and were served with cheese, salsa, sour cream and tortillas, which for the uninitiated are thin pancakes which you can roll all the ingredients up in.
It was a lovely experience and I shall certainly be returning to try some other dishes.

Should I ever end up on a desert island with only one beauty product with me it would have to be an eye pencil because without one my eyes just sink into insignificance.
It might sound silly but its really hard to find a pencil that is just right, one that doesn't drag your skin ,and stay put.
Hallelujah there is a perfect one its ESTEE LAUDER DOUBLE WEAR STAY-IN-PLACE EYE PENCIL. It goes on so smoothly and also has a smudger at the other end so that the line doesn't look too perfect... if you understand me.
have a play and let me know what you think.

I just could not resist trying these summer puddings the packaging just sold it to me,
Spoonfuls of summer.....juicy summer blackcurrants, redcurrants, strawberries and raspberries layered between slices of bread drenched in tangy summer berry juice and Prosecco Rose` I defy you to resist trying them........delicious.
I also picked up a tub of Cook Asian black bean stir fry sauce which was so authentic and added such flavour to a stir fry.
MARKS & SPENCER SOUTHPORT.
I must admit I was sceptical about this makeup because when you first squeeze some out of the tube it comes out pure white...........however when you smooth it into your skin it adjusts to match your particular skintone.
It is available in light, medium & dark and has a SPF of 15.
Very easy to apply and it produced a really natural look.

For those of you who are regular listeners to DUNE FM you will be well aware of the Sefton Chamber of Commerce Business Builder Week.
I had the pleasure of being based at FIT4BIZ in Formby (just near M & S) all week and what a great week it was. Seminars were held each afternoon and were well attended by many people who have established businesses but want to learn extra skills, and quite a few who were in the process of starting a new venture.
DUNE FM were based in the FIT4BIZ centre all week and we gave over 20 local business people the opportunity to go on air and promote their wares!
We held two Breakfast meetings at the centre and the catering was brought in by THE LUNCH HOUR who did a very impressive job with fruit platters as well as bacon barms etc.
Still on food topic we had a visit from Duncan of Cafe Crepes who was celebrating 12 months in business and brought in a selection of mouth watering crepes to sustain us, as well as becoming a member of the Chamber of Commerce.
For many tradespeople who are missing valuable telephone enquiries there will be a virtual office service run from FIT4BIZ and there are individual offices available for rental on a flexible basis i.e. weekly, monthly, or even daily/hoursly basis. For details ring 01704 531710.
I will be based in FIT4BIZ Formby by arrangement so if you would like to make an apt. to hear more about the benefits of becoming a member of SEFTON CHAMBER OF COMMERCE do ring me SANDRA GEE ON 01704 531710
I was priveledged to be invited to the Launch evening of the Food & Drink Festival at the Wayfarer's Arcade and what a great night it turned out to be. I have attended each year and it just seems to get better and better.
There was such a buzz to the atmosphere and the exhibitors had gone that extra mile to make their displays and food tastings extra special.
I nibbled my around the world in food and really enjoyed myself.
CHIQUITO'S tempted me with a gorgeous tomato cocktail decorated with celery leaves, my next stop from at THE LATIN LOUNGEhad gorgeous dainty mouthful size pancakes and dips which were hard to resist. NANDO'S display was gorgeous and I gorged myself on the most lovely olives. I met up with some old acquaintances at THE WINE CELLAR (previously named core) and was fed on scrumptious chorizo sauce on bread.
By this time I was full to bursting but of course could not resist the delicious spring rolls filled with black pudding which I then washed down with Asparagus soup, local of course, and all this was provided by THE DINING ROOMS.
The usual huge display of local tomatoes was on view and LA VIE FRANCAIS were there to serve coffee's and lovely canapes.
I have a confession to make that may suprise you that I have never eaten a beefburger............that is until a couple of weeks ago when I couldn't resist trying a new range that Marks & Spencer had launched.
Part of their new grill range was MOROCCAN BURGERS that can be cooked on the barbeque weather permitting, or under a conventional grill.
I am now fully converted these burgers are made with beef & lamb and are flavoured with coriander, cumin, cinnamon which are my favourite flavours and taste just scrumptious.
They are so moist and moreish I will certainly stock some in my freezer for when another beefburger moment takes me!!
