DUNES AT SPLASH WORLD

Posted by Sandra Gee on July 30, 2007 2:29 PM

I had enjoyed my session of yoga at Dunes so much that I took myself along to try Pilates and also a Body Balance class.

I had heard a great deal about pilates and I was not disappointed it is slow, relaxing, and I felt well and truly stretched at the end of it!

Body Balance was great and more upbeat, so if you are looking for a more energising class then this could be for you. I would hope that after a course or two I could look like the lovely Suzanne who takes the class!!

The surroundings are really great and of course there is a frighteningly modern gym as well!!<

WHEN YOU PAY A VISIT DO LET ME KNOW YOUR THOUGHTS.

SUMA CLASSICO SAUCE

Posted by Sandra Gee on July 30, 2007 2:23 PM

If you favour organic products and want a really flavoursome organic tomato sauce then try this Classico variety. It contains really chunky tomatoes with chilli pepper, onion, basil etc. etc.
Ideal to pour over pasta, or stirred through rice for risotto.
I actually poured it over some chicken thighs which I then roasted in the oven and they were delicious.

Available in a variety of flavours Birkdale/Formby Health Stores.

I couldn't resist trying another variety in this delicious range of home made meals and I was certainly not disappointed.
The beef casserole was full of large slices of meat that just "melt in your mouth" and that combined with chunky vegetables was really comforting.

TUPPERWARE MINI-MAX & STUFFABLES!!

Posted by Sandra Gee on July 17, 2007 8:36 AM

I was out and about doing Tupperware parties for 12 years and the mantra was always "I'll need a new kitchen to house all these products". The company have listened and come up with the range of MINI-MAX, these bowls fold out when needed but collapse shut to a height of approx 2cm when not in use. They can be stored in a drawer and are marvellous for picnics. WATCH THIS SPACE FOR INFO. ON THE STUFFABLES!
For a Tupperware brochure just e-mail me and I will happily oblige.

TRANSCENDENTAL MEDITATION

Posted by Sandra Gee on July 11, 2007 1:54 PM

Today is "Siesta Day" which I can highly recommend.
I took up the practice of Transcental Meditation some 19 years ago and meditate twice daily for 20 mins. If I am really tired I drift off to sleep and it is suggested that you do less and achieve more by doing this. I find it certainly de-clutters my mind.

For more information contact the Transcendental Meditation Centre in Skelmersdale, Lancs.

SCRUMMY HOME MADE STYLE MEALS.

Posted by Sandra Gee on July 10, 2007 9:44 PM

How do you fancy eating home made food that you have not had to slave over a hot stove to actually cook. Help is at hand in this range which includes, lasagne, stir-fry chicken and beef casserole.
I tried the chicken stirfry which was really delicious, fresh, full of flavour and no additives. Eaten with noodles it was so satisfying and enjoyable.

Whilst there do try a tasty snack in the cosy cafe where there are always interesting snacks on offer.

COWBELLE SKIMMED MILK

Posted by Sandra Gee on July 8, 2007 12:00 PM

Do you use skimmed/semiskimmed milk, but do the cartons drive you mad when you try to pour the contents and the milk ends up all over the worktop. Help is at hand with this carton which has a screw top and so pours out much more easily.

DR HAUSCHKA PRODUCTS.

Posted by Sandra Gee on July 5, 2007 8:56 PM

My very favourite bath product is Sage Bath oil, the smell is delicious and nothing makes me happier than to soak in it at the end of a long hard day.

Another product that I am really fond of from this range is the Rejuvenating Mask, it doesn't dry hard and white like many others, but when it is washed off the results are really good.
