Among so many interesting books I discovered this pop up one. As you read through you find a treasure map which leads you to search for gold. you are chased into shark infested waters through jungles and caves etc. Then you are rewarded with a gold coin! What a great book for wanabee pirates of all ages. A wonderful gift book 10.99
At this lovely little shop story times are held at 11a.m. and 2 p.m every Saturday, fully interactive where the characters come to life in the form of puppets. What a great idea.
The other excellent idea is that Deborah also attends childrens parties, usually at the end as a "calming down time" to make a perfect ending to a rowdy party.

STICKI-MITTS!!
Posted by Sandra Gee on August 27, 2007 9:45 PM
These are packets of mitts that are made of polythene and one side has a sticky surface. The idea being that if you just place your hand inside the mitt and then use it to remove any bits from sweaters, trousers etc. it avoids using a clothes brush.
One of the many clever idea's at LAKELAND PLASTICS. www.lakelandplastics.co.uk
Their store in Windermere is certainly worth a visit and any husbands that are dragged along can sit quietly occupied with headphones on to listen to music while they wait!! Don't leave without a visit to the lovely restaurant.
VELARTE MULTIGRAIN CRISPBREAD BARS
Posted by Sandra Gee on August 26, 2007 8:17 AM
I am really fond of crispbreads and this packet was so moreish I devoured the whole lot in one day. They have olive oil in them and are really crispy crunchy bars that are great to just snack on, the bonus is that they are additives free and suitable for vegetarians.

THAI STYLE FISH CAKES.
Posted by Sandra Gee on August 19, 2007 11:20 AM
IT IS WORTH TRYING TO NAVIGATE ROUND THE FOOD HALL OF MARKS & SPENCER DURING THEIR REFURBISHMENT IN ORDER TO FIND THIS RANGE OF "COOK" FISH.
THE THAI STYLE FISH CAKES ARE ABSOLUTELY SCRUMPTIOUS, THEY COOK QUICKLY AND THEN WITH THE HONEY & GINGER GLAZE POURED OVER THEY ARE OUT OF THIS WORLD.
ONE WORD OF ADVICE DO REMEMBER TO PEEL OFF THE PAPER ON THE BASE AND NOT AS I DID CONSUME THE WHOLE LOT!!

HOPI EAR CANDLES.
Posted by Sandra Gee on August 9, 2007 9:54 PM
Every few years I have had to visit the G.P to have my ears syringed. However on this occasion my Doctor was reluctant to carry out this procedure as she didn't feel it absolutely necessary. So after using oil which didn't clear the blockage I decided to try Hopi Ear Candles.
As I am very much in favour of complementary remedies I visited the wonderful Ruth Killin who specialises in reflexology and she administered this unusual procedure which turned out to be both painless and really relaxing.
She completed the treatment with a lovely facial massage and for the rest of the day I felt so relaxed and since then my hearing has returned to normal.
For more information on this amazing treatment do contact me on sandragee60@tiscali.co.uk
CLINIQUE DRAMATICALLY DIFFERENT MOISTURISER
Posted by Sandra Gee on August 8, 2007 3:33 PM
This is a moisturiser that people have sang praises about on many occasions, particularly those with problem skins.
It seems to suit most and sinks into the skin really easily with no greasy after effects.
AVAILABLE ON ALL CLINIQUE COUNTERS.
WHOLE FOODS SOYA NUTS.
Posted by Sandra Gee on August 5, 2007 1:13 PM
Among this wide range of products I was excited to discover soya nuts which I hadn't tasted before but which I have become hooked on as a snack . Apparently they may help decrease cholesterol as part of a healthy lifestyle. Whilst there I also picked up a packet of pumpkin seeds which I like sprinkled onto salads. Many of my friends think I am weird but I think I am so lucky that I don't have a sweet tooth!!

TWO CHEESEY TREATS.

If you like goats or feta cheese there are two treats awaiting you at Marks & Spencer Food Hall. Lamb and feta quarter pounders are moist and delicious and so handy to keep in the freezer.
Wild mushroom & Goats cheese Frittata are in two small portions which heat in minutes in the oven, and then can be drizzled with the delicious herb and pomegranate dressing that is included. Both worth a try. Don't leave without treating yourself to a packet of Redcurrant puffs yummy.. Look forward to hearing your comments.
