CLINIQUE SUPERMOISTURE MAKEUP
Posted by Sandra Gee on September 30, 2007 7:49 PM
Suddenly my tan is fading and there is the usual problem of finding a makeup that doesn't look like a mask.
Well I can highly recommend this lovely new supermoisture makeup by CLINIQUE. It has such a natural look with a slight sheen to it, the colour I tried is bronze which is perfect for me. The other bonus is that its 100% fragrance free.
KOHL SHAPER FOR EYES - Another product worth mentioning is this pencil which is so soft and has the clever addition of a sharpener in the lid.

MEDITERRANEAN FRAGRANCE.

I usually go for green perfumes but this cool blue distinctive bottle with the hammered silver cap caught my eye. Naturally I couldn't resist a spray from the tester and the lovely fragrance haunted me all evening. A bottle of it now has pride of place in my collection of perfumes.
Available from all ELIZABETH ARDEN counters.

ST. HELEN'S FARM GOATS CHEESE PRODUCTS.
Posted by Sandra Gee on September 14, 2007 9:34 PM
Until recently I was only familiar with goat's cheese, but suddenly saw the shelves awash with yoghurts, cream, milk and blocks of goats cheese products. I must confess I was really impressed with them all. The product I really found useful was the hard block of goats cheese which is so handy to grate into sauces and on top of pasta dishes, and of course in toasted sandwiches.
Look out for the St. Helen's Farm brand in many supermarkets.
BURT BEE'S BABY BEE DUSTING POWDER
Posted by Sandra Gee on September 14, 2007 8:07 AM
Now this might sound like a strange product for a grandma to use but I just love this powder. Its a natural talc free alternative to many chemically based baby powders. It has the most delicious light fragance and is good for sensitive skin. Would make a lovely gift for new mums or children alike.

JOHN WEST TUNA PATE
Posted by Sandra Gee on September 8, 2007 11:21 AM
A very handy pate to keep in your storecupboard is this dinky Tuna or Salmon variety. It has a re-sealable lid so it keeps quite well. Ideal for sandwiches or nice on old fashioned melba toast.
Just toast thick bread then slice it through the middle turn and toast again for crunchy melba toast.

MASCARA'S
Posted by Sandra Gee on September 1, 2007 9:42 PM
I have finally realised that less is more in the case of mascara's, I am converted to the thinner style brushes free of clumps and bits that are supposed to make your lashes look thicker. My first foray into this new style was with Chanel Inimitable which is so good and I have now discovered Clarin'sWonder Length Mascara which is excellent and Bourjois "yes to volume no to clumps" which has a very slim applicator and very good.
CHANEL AVAILABLE FROM BROADBENTS, CLARIN'S & BOURJOIS FROM BOOTS. .

I find many vegetarian ready meals dull and boring, but not this one. Layers of roasted aubergine & courgette with a really rich spicy tomato sauce and layered with cheese. It is delicious.
The Lobster Bisque is just scrumptious and is a real treat in a sachet.
