You don't necessarily need to be Polish to enjoy some of the wide range of products available in Morrison's, however as my Father was polish I naturally veer in that direction. The main problem is reading the labels but if you search on the jars/tins you will find an alternative white label which is in English!!
I am very taken with the LOWICZ low sugar cherry jam which is bursting with fruit and appealed to me more than most other low sugar jams I have tried. PROVITUS Cream Horseradish is another jar that I liked very much, its more horseradish than cream so is really tangy lovely in meat sandwiches.

Look out for the new products in the Crabtree & Evelyn range, they are in smart dark coloured packaging and are really interesting. I took the new travel candle "anakkara amber" away with me on holiday, it had a delicious smell and was in a really handy tin container.Another item worth trying is the botanical liquid hand soap which contains olive, almond & Myrtle and is lovely to have in your bathroom for guests.

The variety of new face makeup around this year is just wonderful, and so another one I couldn't resist trying is COLOR IDEAL by lancome. It is a gorgeous liquid makeup that just glides on your skin, gives good coverage, and has a lovely sheen.
It contains SPF 15 which is always a bonus.
AVAILABLE BOOTHROYDS/BOOTS
As soon as autumn arrives my thoughts turn to scarves and for the most cosy and unusual I visit Livvy's Dress for Less in Ainsdale as there is always something unsual and wacky to take my fancy.
This time I discovered a suede and fake fur one in creamy beige which is neutral enough to go with most outfits. The feel of it is just gorgeous and I know it will be worn throughout the winter both outside and at home over my jimjams!!

Do try these italian style bread pockets, flavoured with olive oil and rosemary perfect for any filling.
They are similar to pitta bread but much softer and more flavoursome, delicious filled with any kind of mince for a hearty snack.

Once in a while I stumble across something that really excites me and this happened last weekend. In this very smart newly opened one stop interiors shop I was stopped in my tracks by these "slouchpods" which are a cross between a chair and a beanbag. They are really comfy to relax in and are available in an amazing variety of colours. The most clever feature is that they have high level speakers built in which provide excellent sound quality. Music lovers can now plug in their MP3 player or other portable music devices and lie back and just listen.
Also available is artwork by Clare Wright.

I just hate this time of the year dark nights and mornings do not exactly thrill me. I decided to take advantage of the use of a Sad Boxes from the company in Stanley Street.
Its too soon I feel to give an honest opinion about whether it has helped me but I just love the feeling of this warm light bathing my room twice daily.
They stock a wide variety of really unusual products, some that help with acne problems and a lovely clock that wakes you up with a glow in your bedroom so do go and have a look around.

Its a long time since I have been so excited about a kitchen gadget but this can opener is both magical and very useful for anyone with limited hand mobility. Safer for children and the elderly,
it is battery driven and simply makes it way around the can lid and when complete lifts and removes the lid.
It is being widely advertised at the moment so look at the T.V. slot but it has to be actually seen to be believed.
Spacesaving it can be stored in your cutlery drawer.
Available at BROADBENTS, LORD STREET.
Definitely worth sponsoring is Chris from La Vie Francais in Wayfarers Arcade. On 20/21st October Chris is going be dressed and working in his gorgeous french bistro as..............a girl!!
The more realistic he looks the more money he hopes to raise for this worthwhile charity.
All the staff will be wearing CHARNOS hosiery available at Broadbents as part of National Stocking Month supporting Breast Cancer Care.
There will also be a special pink menu with half the sales going to charity and staff tips donated to the charity.
DO VISIT TO JOIN IN THE FUN!
