ORIGINS PRODUCTS.

By Sandra Gee on May 25, 08 10:30 AM

I made one of my very rare trips to Liverpool last week which proved so worthwhile as I stumbled across ORIGINS which is a range of skin care products I have never tried before.

The very lovely Eileen treated me to a arm & hand massage using their wonderful products which contain essential oils, extracts of aromatic plants and potent herbs and I was just in heaven.

I came home with a variety of pots to try all of which have proved to be excellent. "Gloomaway" a body exfoliator/cleanser, Youthopia a skin firming lotion both are just lovely to use.

Watch this space for mention of other ORIGIN products and I do hope there will soon be a stockist in Southport.

If you have tried Origin products do contact me with your comments.

CHANEL HAIR MIST

By Sandra Gee on May 23, 08 09:37 PM

IF YOU DON'T WANT TO GO FOR A FULL BLOWN PERFUME WHY NOT TRY CHANEL HAIR MISTS. CHANCE OR COCO MADEMOISELLE FRAGRANCES ARE EQUALLY LOVELY . A QUICK SPRAY OVER YOUR HAIR WORKS WONDERS.

BROADBENTS, SOUTHPORT.

The sci-fi style packaging of this new Thierry mugler perfume is quite exceptional. \The fragrance seems a mixture of woody, musky, amber and has a delicious warmth to it.

I am also a great lover of Thierry Mugler Cologne which is quite different but just as gorgeous.

ITALFRESCO POLENTA

By Sandra Gee on May 14, 08 08:40 PM

Eating out usually gives me the inspiration to try new idea's and ingredients and my visit to VOLARE was no exception.

This lovely cosy Italian Restaurant has a menu full of interesting dishes but I was tempted twice by starters that included Polenta.

My favourite was polenta chargrilled with beans and spicy sausage which was scrumptious, and I also tried polenta with asparagus and parmesan cheese.

I was thrilled when I discovered a packet of ready made Polenta at SAINSBURY'S and it was just a case of slicing it and either frying or grilling it and I enjoyed it as an alternative to potatoes, rice, or pasta.

Have a go and let me know what you think.

MODEL.ME DRY SHAMPOO

By Sandra Gee on May 14, 08 09:23 AM

Do you suffer the problem of greasy flat hair the minute the weather turns hot and sunny. Well I certainly do but a friend recommended TONY & GUY Model.Me Quick fix dry shampoo.
I went rushing to Tony & Guy Hair salon but they were sold out of the product ,but the very helpful assistant told me to go to BOOTS as they stocked this particular item.
I am really grateful to her as it has made life much easier, instead of washing my hair every day a quick spray of this aerosol does the trick and it also smells really fresh and lovely.

"YAFFE LEAN"

By Sandra Gee on May 4, 08 11:35 AM

Here is a puzzle for you, any idea what a "Yaffe Lean" might be. I have to admit that until this week I didn't know either but after spending a wonderful evening in Yaffe's studio I was educated about it.
Its all to do with the way you stand when having a photograph taken ,which Adam Yaffe explained in great detail ,because it makes a big difference to the end result of a portrait.
If you want an example of this special stance go onto my website www.sandragee.co.uk and you will see me in this special position.
Also at this packed evening was a demonstration of hairstyles by Worthingtons and aesthetics & skin care by Gina of the newly opened Granville Clinic all of which were really interesting.
