My son-in-law is a great cook and so I look forward to eating with my daughter and family most weekends, however this Sunday he apologised for serving just "Welsh Rarebit".
Well this welsh rarebit was no ordinary cheese on toast it was absolutely delicious and perfect for what was a miserable dark Sunday afternoon. Here is the recipe which is from an old copy of "The Dairy Book" of Home Cookery. Enjoy!
WELSH RAREBIT. 4 large slices of bread 1 oz softened butter 1 tsp. made mustard 1/4 tsp worcester sauce 6 ozs. lancs/cheddar grated cheese 2 tbsp milkcayenne pepper/salt. Toast thick slices of bread on one side only Cream butter, stir in mustard, worcester sauce, cheese milk & seasoning. Spread over untoasted side & brown under a hot grill. Are you looking for really comfy shoes, if so I can really recommend FLYFLOTS, they come in a million styles and colours.
Presently I have in my possession 3 pairs, two of which I have worn for about 3 years, my latest very fashionable pair are in pewter and I have worn them almost constantly for 12 months.
I wear them as slippers, outdoor shoes and have walked miles in them when on holiday. They are the comfiest shoes imaginable. They even have a FLYFLOT fan club!!
Do try some on and let me know if you agree with me.

Its not often that I get through a whole bottle of shampoo and then replace it with the exact same brand, but on this occasion I liked NAKED DEEP CLEANSE SHAMPOO so much that I invested in another bottle. The smell is lovely, it washes out easily, and leaves my hair squeaky clean. The other thing that appeals to me is that it is made from naturally derived vitamin and plant extracts.
My test panel of family females highly recommend the Dove Hair Therapy system as its a brand they normally favour, but they were full of praise for this new range, as they all wash their hair daily and found that the Dove 2 in 1 Daily Therapy Shampoo and Conditioner was brilliant ,and was great for holidays as it made packing much lighter.

9 p.m. tonight and it was so dark outside that I felt it was coming up to the time to think about Christmas Cards, Before making any purchases of cards do have a look at the Queenscourt Hospice brochure showing their wonderful section of personalised cards which at the same time helps this fantasic haven, or nearer the time pop into the Queenscourt shop to look at the selection which will be on display.

I watched one of my very favourite television programmes this evening "Dragons Den" and was interested to see a couple promoting a variety of products including one that I have used for a long time i.e. Toaster bags.
I find them really useful mainly because of their simplicity. Its a bag the size of a slice of bread, so the idea is that you make a sandwich place it in the bag and put it in the toaster, so its ideal for a quick snack, or a take to work lunch etc. etc. The bags are re-useable and easy to wash so have a go.

Cooking vegetables in the microwave oven is really the best way, it retains nutrients and keeps them crunchy, however they sometimes are tasteless To avoid this just sprinkle the veg with some soy sauce before cooking and as well as colouring the vegetables it gives them a lovely zing.
Remember rice cooks brilliantly in the microwave, 8 ozs rice, I use Jasmine rice from Lidl, covered with 1 pint of boiling water. Cook uncovered , in a deep microwaveable bowl ,for 10 mins and you will have lovely fluffy rice with no sticky pan to wash!!

Another clever product from the JML people. I can see it being really useful during the increasingly dark evenings if there should be a power cut. No wiring is required it works off 4 x AA batteries.
The super-bright, super-tough bulb lasts for 10 years, its shatterproof and does not get hot like ordinary lightbulbs so is safe for children's rooms. The bulb slides into a base that has a sticky backing so it can be stuck to any flat surface or easily screwed on.
Widely available from Woolworth's ,Asda, Tesco
Are you looking for a light bronzer that gives your face a glow, if so this is the one to try, Its a gorgeous product that you just sweep over your face and neck with the amazing good karma brush, it has a real feel good factor to it. Depending on the browness of my skin I just use it alone or over a foundation and it just gives my face a lift without looking too made up!.
Watch URBAN DECAY brand for some really interesting lip colours they have just launched in the most unusual packaging!
