Are you struggling to find a gift for a very special occasion, if this is the case consider a bottle of Moet Chandon Champagne but not just a bottle, a bottle in a lovely wooden box that takes it to a higher level.
I discovered this, with the help of the lovely Manager Mike Parkinson in Morrison's, and it would be perfect for an anniversary, birthday or retirement gift.

If you then take the box to Inspired Flowers in Birkdale Village and talk nicely to the ladies there, I feel sure they will wrap it in cellophane and tie it with ribbon to make it even more special Whilst there I know you will not be able to resist a bunch of flowers as the fragrance in the shop is just overwhelming.

I resisted buying a pair of fabulous tartan tights at this "charming" well stocked boutique as I felt the reaction from my family would be similar to the occasion when I arrived home with yellow leather driving gloves!!

However this boutique was jam packed with some gorgeous pieces that were really different, I was tempted to a black patent bag which was a sensible size for all my gear and had a lovely handle, but I'll go back and have another mooch around and perhaps take the plunge!!

In the meantime if you are searching for a stylish coat or dress that looks straight off the catwalk, do have a browse at Charm which is at the end of Birkdale village.

The time has certainly arrived for gloves, scarves etc. I was very excited to find a pair of bright yellow leather driving gloves in PRIMARK LIVERPOOL.

I'm not so sure that my teenage grand-daughters shared the same opinion as me, but hey........... it was another reason to go back once again buy a pair of black leather gloves, and fill our baskets with fabulous jewellery and the most comfy fleecy nightware. Certainly worth the journey.

Once in a while I discover a product that really blows me away and this year its very definitely THE TOAST'N EGG.

Imagine one machine that can produce toast and a poached egg simultaneously. Well Tefal have come up trumps with this amazing product.

Its not much bigger in size than a conventional toaster and it makes two slices of toast, and the addition is a small non stick pan the size of an egg and it switches off automatically when both are done. You can also cook boiled eggs and heat small amounts of food as well but I haven't ventured into that territory yet.

I must admit I am a great fan of TEFAL products, two of my favourite that I wouldn't be without are the Slowcooker/steamer and the Sesame Wok. The slow cooker is so useful particularly at this time of the year, I use chicken portions and pour over a jar of sauce and overnight it produces a delicious meal.

Winter has arrived with a vengeance and what better after a hard day to come home to a bowl of lovely hot soup with crusty bread.

I can highly recommend a tub of this delicious VINE RIPENED TOMATO & MASCARPONE SOUP, it is really creamy and scrumptious and heats up in the microwave in a couple of minutes.

I tried it with some SUNFLOWER & PUMPKIN SEEDED LOAF and it made me a very happy person.
